PASTOR LAWSUIT: Edouard And Church Face Civil Suit | News

A former Pella pastor is facing a lawsuit in connection with his sexual exploitation conviction.

In October of 2012 Pastor Patrick Edouard was acquitted of rape charges, but convicted on four counts of sexual exploitation. Prosecutors argued Edouard used his position at Covenant Reformed Church to take advantage of four women in the congregation.

Edouard is appealing the convictions.

Meanwhile one of his accusers has also filed a lawsuit against Edouard and the church. It claims church elders failed to investigate the situation when it was brought to their attention.
