Festival Of Trees | Community Spirit

The Marion County Historical Society is getting ready for the annual Festival of Trees.

There will be more than 40 trees decorated by various organizations on display on November 17 and 18 in Marion County Park.

Residents are invited to come view and vote on their favorite tree be placing money in the bank underneath the tree.  The top three trees will win prizes and the proceeds from the votes will be donated to the Marion County Community Action Committee for families in need of Christmas help.

The trees aren’t the only family entertainment planned. There will be demonstrations and homemade goods on sale, as well as musical entertainment, and mule drawn wagon rides.
